ChinaWind is an early-stage project. We collect interest from people exploring an extended stay or a move to China. This page explains what we collect and the choices you have. It is not legal advice.
What we collect
- Email address — required to join the early-interest list.
- Optional survey answers — the cities, timelines, and topics you choose to share after signing up.
- Attribution data — campaign parameters (for example
utm_*), click identifiers such asgclid, the referring page, and the landing-page URL, so we know which campaigns are working. - Technical data — user agent and a hashed (not stored in clear text) form of your IP address, used only for abuse protection and rough aggregate counts.
How we use it
- To send you updates you asked for, and to understand which needs, cities, and timelines are most common.
- To measure and improve our advertising and the site itself.
- To protect the signup endpoint from automated abuse.
Analytics and advertising
When enabled, this site uses Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads tags to measure visits and signups. We never send your email address or other direct identifiers in analytics events. Google may set cookies for measurement and advertising. You can control cookies or ad personalization through your browser and Google’s Ads Settings.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site and, once an email provider is selected, deliver the updates you requested, and where required by law.
Retention
We keep interest-list records until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Unsubscribing stops update emails; you may still ask us to erase your record.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe at any time from the link in any email or on our unsubscribe page. To access, correct, or delete your information, contact us.
