Your corner of China.

Too long for a hotel.
Too short for a year’s lease.

We’re building the missing middle: a real home and a softer landing.

A home for your season.

Furnished, flexible stays. Desk, kitchen and western bathroom. Scouted in 360° before you commit.

Registration, planned upfront.

We’re designing a housing standard around landlord cooperation and the property documents needed for your 24-hour police registration.

Your Day-1 China setup.

Foreign cards on Alipay and WeChat Pay, a SIM or compatible eSIM, maps, metro and food delivery. We’ll help you get set up.

A route for your timeline.

One semester or a full Mandarin year. Understand the visa pathway before you book your flight.

Look around.
Then put down roots.

A listing photo can hide the awkward corners. A 360° walkthrough helps you find them.

A season. Or a whole new rhythm.

Two ways to plan your stay.

The sabbatical

3–6 months

Settle in. Find your café. Stay a little longer.

  • A semester of Mandarin. X2 study visas cover stays of up to 180 days, subject to the duration granted.
  • China, plus a regional trip. Eligible travelers can explore multi-entry L visas for tourism or M visas for genuine business, including 10-year options for some nationalities.

Hong Kong or Seoul can fit into the itinerary. Depart before your visa’s stay limit; day 85 only works with a 90-day allowance. Re-entry is never guaranteed.

The Mandarin year

6–12 months

Learn the language. Make a neighborhood yours.

  • Two semesters at university. A year-long Mandarin program can support an X1 visa and an application for a one-year study residence permit.
  • Build a weekly rhythm. Look for morning classes and explore in the afternoons. Attendance and timetables depend on the program.

Permit length is decided by immigration authorities. Study permission does not automatically authorize remote work. Read the work FAQ.

Planning guidance, not visa issuance or legal advice. Check your passport, purpose and dates against official visa categories and your local Chinese consulate’s requirements.

The practical questions, answered.

Can I legally work remotely from China?
A tourist, business or study visa is not blanket permission to work remotely. Study residence permits do not automatically authorize employment; approved off-campus work or internships require specific permission. Confirm your work arrangement with the local exit-entry bureau and a qualified adviser before committing. Read the official regulations.
Will my foreign credit card work?
You can link supported foreign Visa and Mastercard cards to Alipay and WeChat Pay for many everyday purchases. Verification, merchant support, limits and fees vary; some transfers need a local account. We’ll help you get set up and keep a backup payment option. Official payment guide.
How will police registration work?
We’re designing our planned housing standard around landlord cooperation and the property documents needed for registration. For a private stay, you or your host must register within 24 hours of arrival. The local authority completes the registration; we cannot override its requirements. Official registration guidance.
Do I need to speak Mandarin?
You can start with the basics. English arrival guidance, translation tools and help with essential apps make the first days easier. A little Mandarin goes a long way with neighbors, deliveries and everyday errands.
